The Services of Arthritis Care.
With so many people in the UK with arthritis, there is a real demand for the services of Arthritis Care. Since 1947 we have been reaching out to those who need our services, as well as influencing decision-makers on behalf of everyone with arthritis.
By campaigning with representatives from government, local authorities, doctors and pharmacists, we have improved the lives of many beyond those of our 70,000 supporters. We have achieved this largely thanks to voluntary donations. With so many more to reach, we will keep campaigning to improve conditions and challenge attitudes and practices in society.
Our vision is clear.
We are working hard to ensure all people with arthritis are included in society and given access to the same opportunities as everyone else. We are striving to create an environment which enables people with arthritis to manage their condition through information, support and self-management.
With this in mind, our new strategic plan – Making a Difference – has been developed. Representation, information and support, training, inclusion and success – each key theme will have a significant positive impact on the lives of everybody with arthritis. There is much work to do, but we are fit for the future – ready to move forward, confident we can continue to make a real difference to people with arthritis, today, tomorrow and in the years ahead.
