Appointed Information Volunteers and Branch Volunteers joined forces to promote awareness of the charity, the branch and the services we provide to support all people with Arthritis and their families/carers.
For five days volunteers and staff manned the charity barrow at the metro centre, selling logo goods, giving out our quality information booklets and magazines and talking to people about Arthritis. 8,800 booklets and magazines were given to 610 people and £394.38 was raised, good contacts were established with members of the public and NHS staff.
The money raised will go towards a set of stands to use at information and awareness events in the North East.
On a smaller scale 2 branch volunteers Ron and Emma attended 'Cornerstone' at Sheriff Hill Church, meeting and greeting people as they visited the project for lunch once again giving out booklets, magazines and information about the branch.
